Versed in Truth…

Hello sweet friends,

The first passage I have chosen to memorize this month, can be found in the book of Psalms…

Let all that I am wait quietly before God,
for my hope is in him.
He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress where I will not be shaken.

Psalm 62:5-6 (NLT)

I was determined not to be late posting my Scripture passage this time. I had chosen these verses well in advance, but my plans soon fell apart.

I got sick. Severely sick. High fever, massive headache, body aches, chest congestion, cough. I haven’t been out of bed, except to use the bathroom, in days.

How apt were His words for me, chosen before the trial began…

“Let all that I am wait quietly before God…”

Waiting was about all that I could do. All of my plans were washed aside.

I worried about not meeting my self-imposed deadlines, but was reminded of His recent lesson to cease striving and Surrender to the Wave.

So I obeyed.

I let go of the worry, of the striving. I relinquished control and trusted God with the outcome. I accepted the time of imposed rest, instead of fighting it.

Then, His amazing peace washed over me.

I was able to rest knowing that not one moment escapes His watchful eye. He knows all of our struggles, dear one, and He cares deeply. He truly wants the very best for His precious children.

May you experience the wonder of His peace in your life today. You are a cherished treasure.

Blessings and hugs,

    • Welcome Lisa,

It’s always nice to know that other people share our struggles, and even better when we can encourage one another from a place of understanding! So thankful that you stopped by.

  2. Kamea, when you said he cares deeply that really struck me. He does care. He loves us so much. Every detail is not beyond his care. Much love to you as you share such powerful truth with us. Cheering you on from the #RaRalinkup on Purposeful Faith.

    • Welcome Kelly! Sorry it has taken me a few days to get back to you. I have been fighting a really nasty flu. Thank you for your kind words of encouragement. As much as I know that I am loved by my heavenly Father, it is always helpful to be reminded anew through my caring sisters-in-Christ.

      Blessings and hugs,
